MUAQ CELEBRATES INDONESIA’S 80th INDEPENDENCE THROUGH “BEAUTY OF INDONESIA: A LEGACY BEYOND TIME” VIDEO

In celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, MUAQ Beauty proudly presents a meaningful visual work titled “Beauty of Indonesia: A Legacy Beyond Time”. 

Released on August 16, 2025 — a day before Independence Day — this video is MUAQ’s heartfelt tribute to the nation’s beauty and cultural heritage. It also serves as the continuation of the Beauty of Indonesia series, first introduced in 2023.

The video invites viewers to immerse themselves in the diverse cultures of the archipelago — from the joy of traditional children’s games, the resilience of farmers, the grandeur of batik art, to the harmonious performance of wayang and gamelan. Traditional makeup artistry enriches the visual storytelling, affirming that Indonesia’s beauty is inseparable from its ancestral heritage. A variety of traditional dances are showcased, including Tari Golek Pudiyastuti, Tari Klana Raja, Tari Golek Ayun-ayun, Tari Kontemporer Alusan, Tari Gambyong, and Tari Kontemporer Upbeat.

Batik takes center stage in this production. For MUAQ, batik is more than just a beautiful pattern — it is identity and dedication. This philosophy is deeply embedded in MUAQ’s brand values and product packaging, which fuse modern aesthetics with authentic traditional touches.

“In the previous Beauty of Indonesia video, we showcased Indonesia’s traditional dances. In this second installment, we present an even richer display of culture, historical sites, and of course, what has always been close to MUAQ’s heart — batik,” said Nur Fitriana Qomarry, affectionately known as Anya Qomarry, Founder of MUAQ.

“This time, we chose Yogyakarta and its surrounding areas as our main locations, accompanied by the timeless song ‘Indonesia Pusaka’ by maestro Ismail Marzuki. Both the location and the song are deeply special to us, as they represent the very heart of Indonesian culture,” added Aulia Syarief, Co-Founder & Director of MUAQ.
